Winter 2018-03-28T20:35:54+00:00

Winters in the northwoods offer many outdoor activities.  Whether your desire is snowmobiling, ice fishing, snowshoeing or cross country skiing northern Wisconsin is the place for you.  The Bo-Boen snowmobile club is the largest in the state with over 100 miles of trails.  These trails are linked to other area clubs with trails, who also groom regularly, making the Vilas/Oneida trail system the best in the state.  The area lakes offer very good ice fishing for numerous species.

The fabulous restaurants are accessible by sled or vehicle and help to warm after a day of outdoor adventures.  Some of the local winter events are: the Annual Tundra Plunge, the AMSOIL World Championship Snowmobile Derby, the St. Germain Radar Run, the Annual Ride With the Champs and the USA Pond Hockey National Championship.  So come to the northwoods in the winter and enjoy the warmth of friendly company, a good drink, great food and an evening around your fireplace.
